RWUK regrets decision to Prevent distribution of documents to families and representatives of 3 victims of state-related killings

The documents, including inquest papers, were released by the Public Record Office for Northern Ireland (PRONI) on the authority of the Northern Ireland Culture Minister after she took advice from the Attorney General for Northern Ireland. Unless the Westminster Executive is able to articulate a clear reason for interfering, this decision should be allowed to stand.

The parties will return to the High Court of Northern Ireland on the 13th of September, when proceedings will continue. Rights Watch UK will continue to closely monitor developments in the case.
