Sarah Adamcyzk


International Legal Programme Coordinator

Sarah is an International Legal Program Coordinator at Rights and Security International. She is a human rights lawyer with extensive experience working in legal and humanitarian programming, primarily in the Middle East. Sarah has previously worked with the Humanitarian Policy Group at the Overseas Development Institute as well as with the Norwegian Refugee Council where she designed and implemented legal assistance programmes for displaced populations in the Gaza Strip, Jordan, Ukraine and Syria. 

A former Fulbright scholar, Sarah additionally worked as a lecturing fellow and supervising attorney with the International Human Rights Clinic at Duke Law School analysing the impact of counter-terrorism and preventing/countering violent extremism measures on gender equality. Her research has primarily focused on counter-terrorism, protection of civilians, the securitisation of humanitarian aid, humanitarian protection, human rights, forced migration, legal identity and land rights.
