Islam Abdelgadir

Oak Foundation Fellow

Islam is the first Oak Fellow within the Legal and Policy Department. Islam helped to conceptualise and materialise this fellowship, which seeks to attract young people from marginalised communities towards human rights, by exposing them to the work of Rights and Security International.

Islam holds a GDL from BPP University, a Master’s in Human Rights from University College London and a BSc in Politics, Philosophy, Economics and Warwick University. He has interned with Freedom from Torture, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and participated in a fellowship with the Oak Foundation’s Human Rights Programme.
