Global Human Rights Assistant
Damarie is RSI's Global Human Rights Assistant. She holds an LL.B and an LL.M in International Human Rights Law from the University of Leeds. She is currently working towards her PhD in Law and Social Justice at the same university where her main focus is the legacy of colonial welfare in Kenya and its impact on caring for children with disabilities.
Damarie has previously worked in voluntary capacities on various human rights and equality campaigns since her undergraduate studies. These experiences have consequently helped her in her professional and academic roles as a Module Assistant, Research Assistant for the CEREBRA Legal Entitlements and Problem Solving Project (LEaP) and more recently Communications and Programs Associate at Amnesty International Kenya.
